Bead Shop Hop PRIZES! Lots of prizes! 

• Grand Prize - 1 Grand Prize and 3 Runners-Up Receive all 20 stamps on your passport and be eligible to win a $500 Shopping Spree at any or all of the participating local bead stores, a gift basket full of goodies, and the very prestigious Gum Ball Machine Trophy filled with beads! 

• Three runners-up will receive a $250 Shopping Spree at any or all of the participating local bead stores! 

• Regional Prize - 2 winners Receive all stamps in a Region and be eligible to win a gift basket valued at over $200. 

• Shop Gift Baskets - 20 winners Receive at least three stamps from any three shops and be eligible to win their gift basket! Plus, an additional basket per store filled with Beadalon beading products, valued at over $50 will be given away.

Beadahs.....formerly Beadniks

The store you have known as Beadniks Santa Monica is changing its name to Beadahs. After 5 years with the franchise group, the two Beadahs -- mother-daughter duo: Ermie and Shannon -- are declaring independence and go at this business of beads on their own.

Allow us to wax poetic/literary: Puns, as you have indubitably noticed, are rampant in the bead business. "Beadahs" is a cross-lingual pun. In Tagalog, the main dialect of Ermie's home country, the Philippines, "bidas" means "heroes." Should you happen to be from Boston, you may pronounce "beaders" like "beadahs." Or maybe if you're Hawai'ian, our new name may sound familial like "bruddahs."We are abiding by Shakespeare’s words in “Romeo and Juliet,” “What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.”

We are in process of creating a website: www.beadahs.com. We are creating a Facebook page. We are ticking things off our to-do list one at a time. Bear with us in our transition. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Beaders' Night Out

If you missed the past Beaders' Night Out you were left out of all the fun!! This August 12th each store will be doing something different.

Please give your local bead store the support by dropping by between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Each store has something different in store for Make N Takes, offers, food and beverage. Check with

each store for their planned events.

This will be the official kick-off for the Bead Shop Hop. Learn about all the participating stores, the prizes and a design contest. You will be able to pick up a map of the stores and start planning today your Hop route. Get with your friends, pick a region and go hopping...it's easy!!!
